Luberon - L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue

L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue: a picturesque town, renowned for its vibrant waterways and charming antique markets. I mean, have you seen any water gorgeously green like that anywhere else? Nestled between the Sorgue River, L'Isle sur la Sorgue is also famous for its large Provençal market on Sundays, classified as exceptional for its ambience and the quality of its products, so if you have a chance plan to be there. I wasn’t able to attend the market, but what really attracted me to this small village wasn’t all that…

The number 1 reason I visited this village was the Vallis Clausa, a paper mill that produces handmade paper using traditional techniques dating back to the 15th century. And the paper is made using the power of water to turn the wheels and move the beautiful machines displayed there for everyone to see. So cool! I bought a stack of paper and a beautiful initial letter stamp that will be used on my next collection.
